Good news ! Ayurveda can help.
Ayurveda has been used by millions of people all over the world to prevent and manage these symptoms using safe, holistic, natural and sustainable approaches to health. Ayurveda works on the principle that behind every disease is a cause. The key to healing is to remove this cause and restore balance using empowered decision making, herbal medicines, diet and lifestyle changes.
The truth is, anybody can practice Ayurveda. It doesn't require hours of cooking or huge life changes. It can make its way into your like easily and painlessly, from the way you start your day to the way you cook your food. You can pick and choose what works for you or not. Take one thing at the time, let is become a habit, and move on to the next. It's a lifelong practice. Consistency is key.
What to expect from an Ayurvedic consultation?
Initial Ayurvedic assessment (90 minutes)
During the initial Ayurvedic assessment, be prepared to talk about yourself! Together we'll determine your Ayurvedic constitution at birth (your Prakriti) and your current imbalance (your Vikruti). Ayurveda emphasises balance in all areas of life so I will take an extensive personal and medical history to better understand many aspects of your life including your diet, your professional life and working conditions, relationships, lifestyle and exercise routines.
Shortly after the consultation, you will receive a personalised plan with lifestyle advice tailored to you and a nutrition sheet of foods to avoid and foods to enjoy as an integral part of your treatment.
Follow-up consultation (60 minutes)
The purpose of the Ayurvedic follow-up consultation is to support and guide you in the daily practice of Ayurveda.
To discuss together the implementation of the Ayurvedic recommendations and review your progress.
Readjust your practice according to your experience, the evolution of your imbalances and your well-being.
Learn and discover new Ayurvedic recommendations to increase your state of balance and well-being
With this follow-up, I invite you to progressively break habits that have often been anchored for several years and that are considered as "normal". The idea is not to change your habits overnight but to take care of those that are unbalancing you by taking small steps to introduce change.
It is important to remember Ayurveda is never about a 'quick-fix' or papering over the cracks, but correcting and strengthening the foundations for a healthy body and mind, removing the need for long-term medication.
The complete Ayurvedic assessment helps you to better understand your daily functioning and metabolism, and gives you the keys to remedy the ailments that disturb your natural balance. It does not replace a medical consultation and is not a substitute for medical or paramedical treatment.
