The Orange Goddess

Ingredients 

  • Papaya: a big slice (4cm)

  • Yellow bell pepper: 1/2

  • Carrots: 2

  • Orange, 1

  • Ginger, 1cm

Instructions


Chop the ingredients. In the juicer, add the bell pepper, orange and carrots. Then, pour the juice in the blender with the chunks of papaya and blend until smooth.

Finally, pour over some ice cube and enjoy!

The health benefits of the Orange Goddess


Papaya

Helps in digestion, promotes weight loss, regulates menstruation, prevents infections, provides relief from a toothache, has anticancer properties, helps in skin care, improves heart health, reduces the symptoms of acne and burns, has anti-inflammatory effects, has anti-oxidants properties, is good for macular degeneration, helps in treats constipation, helps prevent arthritis, and improves immunity.

Very low in saturated fat, cholesterol and sodium. It is also a good source of dietary fibre and potassium, and a very good source of Vitamin A, Vitamin C and folate.

Orange

Prevents osteoporosis, promotes skin and eye health, improves immune system, relieves fatigue and constipation, reduces stress, lowers cholesterol, regulates high blood pressure, prevents kidney diseases.

Excellent source of vitamin C. Very good source of dietary fibre. Good source of B vitamins including vitamin B1, pantothenic acid and folate as well as vitamin A, calcium, copper and potassium.

Carrots

Improves vision, helps fight cancer, slows down signs of ageing, promotes healthier skin, cleanses the body, protects teeth and gums, prevents stroke.

Very good source of biotin, vitamin K, dietary fibre, molybdenum, potassium, vitamin B6 and vitamin C. They are a good source of manganese, niacin, vitamin B1, phosphorus, folate, copper, vitamin E and vitamin B2.

Bell pepper

Promotes eyes/skin/hair health, balances the mood, boosts the immune system, helps sleep, relieves chronic pain, helps prevent heart disease and diabetes, helps with weight loss. 

Excellent source of vitamin A (in the form of carotenoids),vitamin C and vitamin B6. Very good source of folate, molybdenum, vitamin E, dietary fibre, vitamin B2, pantothenic acid, niacin and potassium.
